Phoenix Police DepartmentPhoenix Police Department K9 Unit Program Re-Development

In January of 2003 Eden Consulting Group was contracted by the Phoenix Police Department to assist them in re-developing their K9 Unit. New training methods were introduced, new dogs were purchased and a 13 week program commenced that included the introduction of the tracking profile for this agency. Under the direction of Commander Steve Cambell, Lt. Rob Handy, Sgt. John Collins and Sgt. Trent Crump a custom program was developed. Training commenced mid January and proceeded for a 13 week training cycle. Officer Ben Boyer directed the training as the new K9 training officer and during the initial training period numerous members of Eden Consulting Group flew in and instructed. A diverse training team was brought in to provide a wide knowledge base for the new program.
